This thesis is a theoretical and empirical study of the current state about mathematics thinking in ninth grade students.The geometrical intuition in the mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education and the two core qualities of logical reasoning and intuitive imagination proposed in the newly enacted curriculum standards for high school mathematics are all closely related to students' geometrical thinking.To improve students' ability to think geometrically,the first thing that needs to be clear is the level of students' geometric thinking.At present,the research on this issue is still relatively small.This study has carried out theoretical and empirical research.The research provides a reference for a comprehensive understanding of students' geometric thinking and provides valid data for the teaching of geometry.There are four aspects of the research:(1)Test geometric thinking of the ninth grade students' level;(2)Conduct a comparative study of the students' level of geometric thinking and their usual achievements,and explore whether there is a direct connection between the two;(3)Analyze the reasons that influence the development of geometry thinking level of grade nine students.;(4)Based on the research data,we put forward corresponding suggestions for "teaching" and "learning".The research is divided into four stages:(1)The Usiskin geometry test paper was selected as a tool for measuring the level of geometric thinking;(2)222 students in Zhengzhou area(188 of them)were tested by nine grade students,and the data were analyzed by SPSS20.0,and the comparison and analysis at all levels were set up at the same time;(3)One student and a math teacher in each level were selected to interview the teachers' geometry teaching;(4)According to research results of(2),(3)two stages,explore the reasons affecting nine grade students' geometric thinking ability.The main results of the study are:(1)The level of geometric thinking of 6% students in grade nine is still on the level of level.This part of the students,51% of nine grade students' geometric thinking ability reaches three level,only 3% of the students' geometric thinking level reaches the level of five;(2)Generally speaking,higher level of geometric thinking the student has,more score of mathematics he will get,However,students who are in low group are not directly proportional to their geometric thinking level;(3)There are differences between boys and girls in geometric thinking level,and boys' geometric thinking level is higher than that of girls;(4)complex symbolic language,the rote learning of the theorems,geometric knowledge network can not be formed,teachers can not teach students in accordance with their aptitude to adapt to teaching and students' bad attitude to geometry learning,all are the main reasons for the difference of students' geometric thinking level.
