Thinking is the basic and indispensable condition for carrying out mathematical activities,and students' thinking level of solid geometry is the embodiment of teaching achievement of solid geometry.In high schools in the urban-rural fringe,the composition of students is more complex than that in other schools.The thinking of students of different genders,regions and classes at different levels presents more complex characteristics in the study of solid geometry.However,in the past,there were few surveys and studies on the stereo geometric thinking of the students in high schools in the urban-rural fringe.Obviously,the study of students' solid geometric thinking in this type of area is not enough attention.However,it is of great significance to investigate the students' thinking level of solid geometry in this type of school,which is the guarantee of teaching matching with students' thinking.Based on Van Hiele's theory,this paper uses the methods of literature study,case study,investigation,observation and interview.Firstly,taking the middle school in the urban-rural fringe as the background,and taking the students of science class in Senior Two as the research object,107 students were selected as the research sample,and the stereo geometric thinking level was tested,investigated and analyzed.The following conclusions were drawn:1.The average level of solid geometric thinking of the overall students is 3.01,the average level of overall thinking reaches L3,and the number of students at all levels is uneven;the students' thinking develops fully at L1 level and unevenly at other levels;2.Both male and female students have reached the level of solid geometric thinking L3.Male and female students have made full progress in low level L1,and their thinking characteristics at L2 and above levels are different.The differentiation of thinking level in female students is more serious than that in male students;3.The solid geometric thinking level of urban students reaches L3,and rural students are in L2.There are significant differences in L1 level between urban and rural students,and rural students are better than urban students.There are differences in thinking characteristics between the two groups at L2 level and above,and the thinking of urban students is better than that of rural students.Rural students' thinking level of solid geometry is low level distribution;4.There is no significant difference in L1 level between the key class and the ordinary class,but there is significant difference in thinking characteristics of L2 and above,and the advantages of the key class are obvious;5.According to the investigation of two-dimensional groups,girls in urban areas,girls in key classes and rural students in key classes have a higher level of solid geometric thinking,while girls in rural areas,girls in ordinary classes and rural students in ordinary classes have a lower level of solid geometric thinking;6.Van Hiele's thinking level of solid geometry is significantly correlated with his geometry examination results.Secondly,this study investigates the students' learning situation in terms of classroom feelings,learning difficulties,core math literacy and self-evaluation.Through interviews with representatives of students and teachers,the factors affecting students' thinking level of solid geometry are understood.Finally,according to the above research results,this study proposes to improve students' solid geometric thinking level from the aspects of mathematics language training,mathematics core literacy training,problem solving training,differential teaching and anti-differentiation,teaching evaluation,classroom teaching stage design and so on.
