Space And Politics:A Case Study Of Yuemiao Culture From The Perspective Of Landscape Anthropology

With Hangzhou West Lake's inscription on the World Heritage List,as a cultural landscape,Yuemiao(with Yue Fei's tomb inside),a representative historical site for loyalty and filial piety of Hangzhou West Lake cultural landscape,has become an important part of World Heritage.This thesis studies Yuemiao Culture based on the fieldwork in Yuemiao,the culture landscape in Hangzhou.From the perspective of landscape anthropology,firstly,this thesis explores the production of landscape which is centered on "space" and the construction of landscape which stresses on "place",and it also focus on the role of administrative departments represented by the Administrative Office of Yuemiao,and of social organizations represented by Yuemiao Culture Research Association(Hangzhou Yuefei Clan Association)in the development of Yuemiao Culture.In the same time,the thesis concentrates on the mutual adjustment of various cultural landscape creations with different orientations which have developed into current "Yuemiao cultural landscape".Secondly,in the light of the status quo of Yuemiao culture,the tension in the cultural construction of Yuemiao,and the relationship between country and society in Yuemiao cultural landscape are analyzed.Lastly,aiming at the reproduction of Yuemiao culture landscape,this thesis proposes some suggestions on cooperation governance,and puts forward the research topic of the Yuemiao cultural landscape to expand the meaning of political science.
