Objective: Athletes of the 100-meter,200-meter and 4x100 meters race, often have two even three races one day, especially in World-Class Track and Field Events such as the Olympics and Track and IAAF World Championships in Athletics. The recovery after the game is significant for athletes to achieve good results. This study is to monitor the recovery of various indicators of the body by using the Intermittent Cold Water Immersion for athletes after the Wingate test for the athletes of the sprint race.In comparison with Cold Water Immersion by physiological indicators as heart rate, blood lactate, cardiac output, stroke volume, heart rate variability and other physiological indicators. This will provide a theoretical basis for selecting better recovery methods in the future. Methods: This experiment used Self-control design. Each subject performed three experiments in the order of Control group(CON),Cold Water Immersion(CWI),and Intermittent Cold Water Immersion(ICWI).One week for each experiment. In every experiment, subjects performed a single Wingate test before and after the recovery intervention(test time 60 seconds, resistance coefficient is 0.075 of the subject's own body weight),and Omega Wave Test was conducted before the first Wingate test and after the second Wingate Test. This study will collect two Wingate Tests before and after each test subject, indicators obtained from Omega Wave Test, and three sets of relevant physiological indicators in different recovery processes.Using SPSS 20.0 for Statistical Analysis.Results:1.Through comparison of Wingate Test results before and after recovery intervention, the ICWI group had very significant significance for the decrease of the Fatigue Index(FI)(P<0.01).And comparing two Omega Wave Test results before and after exercise,we found that the Anaerobic Status Index(ANSI)and the Alactic Status Index(ALSI)were significantly higher(P<0.05).2.During the recovery process, the recovery rate of Heart Rate(HR)and Blood Lactic Acid(BLA)in ICWI group was better than that of other two groups;Cardiac Output(CO)was lower than that in other two groups, and Stroke Volume(SV)was higher than CON group.Lower than the CWI group. However, the changes in these four physiological indicators were not significant.3.Comparing two HRV-related data measured before and after exercise with Omega Wave Test,we can see that the ICWI group has significant influence on the changes of SDNN,HF,HF n.u.and LF(P<0.05).There were very significant effects on the changes in RMSSD,SDSD,PNN50,and Total Power.4.Compared with the data of Wingate test 2 and Omega Wave test 2 in the CWI group and ICWI group, there was no significant difference between the two groups.Conclusions:1.Intermittent Cold Water Immersion has positive significance for the recovery of anaerobic exercise ability of sprinters.2.Intermittent Cold Water Immersion is better than Cold Water Immersion in recovery of heart rate and blood lactate after anaerobic exercise, but the recovery of cardiac output and stroke volume was not as effective as that of Cold Water Immersion.3.Intermittent Cold Water Immersion promoted the activation of parasympathetic nerve and vagus nerve after anaerobic exercise.Compared with the Cold Water Immersion,Intermittent Cold Water Immersion had a more obvious activation effect on parasympathetic nerves.
