With the rapid development of globalization and the accelerated flow of population,cross-border marriage has become an increasingly common marriage phenomenon among mankind.China and Vietnam are linked by mountains and rivers and cultural tradition. In particular, since the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, more and more Vietnamese women have chosen to marry Chinese through cross-border marriage and thus become the "Vietnam Bride".Cross-border marriages have undoubtedly promoted the social and cultural exchanges in the border between China and Vietnam, but at the same time, brought many problems to the social governance of this area of China.Further studies are needed. Therefore, this study uses "Vietnam Bride" as an example to explore cross-border marriages and explore strategies. The study uses the "Vietnam Bride" of Naliang Town in Fangchenggang City of Guangxi Province as an example to collect qualitative data through field observations and case interviews.Under the guidance of Huntington's identity theory, starting from the six major types of identity,i.e.,belonging,cultural,territorial,economic,political,and social, combined with the three dimensions of identity, attitude, and behavior,in order to describe the current status and predicament of identity recognition of cross-border marriage groups in the Guangxi-Vietnam borderlands represented by the "Vietnam Bride".Combined with the perspective of cultural capital and cultural confidence, the perspective of social exclusion and institutional exclusion, and the theory of social comparison and relative deprivation, the main reasons for this group's identity dilemma are analyzed.Further targeted strategies are proposed to help the group uplight their identity. The study finds that the identity dilemma of the "Vietnam Bride" group mainlyincludes the "desirable but bot available" state of attribution identity;the “cultural outcast” dilemma at the level of cultural identity;the "homeland but not the motherland" state of territorial identity;the "suspended woman" state of the political identity;the dilemma of "absolute to relative deprivation" at the level of economical identity;and the “unworthy of the name” dilemma of the social identity. The main causes for above dilemmas are the lack of cultural capital and cultural self-confidence;the exclusion from institutions, economy, and society is the objective reason of this group's identity dilemma. However, the relative deprivation generated by self and other group is the subjective reason for the group's identity dilemma. On the basis of above reasons, this article accordingly proposes the gorvernance strategies to improve the identity recognition of the "Vietnam Bride" : to improve the relevant laws and policies of the two countries to guarantee the basic rights of cross-border marriage groups;to develop fundamental education in borderland between two countries to increase cross-border marriage group cultural capital;to strengthen the cultural exchanges at the border between Guangxi and Vietnam to enhance the cultural self-confidence of cross-border marriage groups;to advocate harmonious and inclusive ethnic group relations to improve the social relations between cross-border marriage groups.
