Research On Discipline Construction In The Early Stage Of Department Of Sociology,Nankai University

In the 1980 s,sociology of Nankai University,which has played an important role in the process of restoring and rebuilding Chinese sociology,was the window of Chinese sociology opening to the outside world.Studying on discipline construction in the early stage of sociology of Nankai University can enhance the group of Nankai sociological scholar's awareness of sbject identity and self identity,and be beneficial to the exploration of basic mode of the development of Chinese sociology in the 1980 s.This paper,mainly adopting both literature method and interview method,respectively,discusses the thought of discipline construction and practical activities in the early stage of sociology of Nankai University from the aspects of discipline construction ideas,basic discipline construction,discipline system construction and personnel training.Sociology of Naikai University devoted to building its teaching faculties and teaching materials.Meanwhile,sociology of Naikai University,by relying on superior resources of Nankai University and focusing on the basis of supporting sociological theory and method,has established development strategy of branch subjects,such as economic sociology,social psychology,and scientific sociology,and has built a sociology discipline system with Nankai characteristics.Regarding talent cultivation,sociology of Nankai University made use of the double mechanism combined with general mechanism and special mechanism,and adopted different classes,such as professional class,graduate class,doctoral class and so on,which innovated the way of cultivating talents that are badly needed by sociological discipline construction under the pattern of “making up classes”.In the 1980 s,during the process of development,sociology of Nankai University has forged the spirits of intrepidity and innovation,the spirits of down-to-earth efforts and hard work,the strategy of opening-up and inclusiveness,the principle of free and open teaching without distinction,which were the most precious wealth that sociology of Nankai University has left to the Chinese sociology.In the talent cultivation on the institutional innovation,sociology of Nankai University has explored an effective way to cultivate urgently needed talents,which was useful to discipline construction in the blank disciplines.With the help of domestic and international sociological forces,sociology of Nankai University,based on localization,adhered to the principle of opening to the outside world,cultivates urgently needed professionals and constructs the sociology with Chinese characteristics for Socialist modernization.
