With the deepening understanding of foreign language teaching,the guiding significance and application value of Formulaic Language in the foreign language teaching fields have been improved.To make learners apply Formulaic Language more accurately and more fluently for writing,the teachers could help students understand deeply by mastering some fixed or semi-fixed language structures.By taking advantages of personal teaching practice in NO.1 high school in Lianyuan,Hunan province,the author expounded some teaching problems with Formulaic Language by taking writing tests in teaching procedures,the main problems include five aspects: the error of vocabulary usage,the problem of phrases collocation,a little more Chinese English,misusing the sentence patterns and lacking of standards in text.According to this phenomenon,the author would like to realize the practical significance of Formulaic Language in English writing teaching by experimental teaching design,which can develop the consciousness of using Formulaic Language when writing,improve students' writing ability,and strengthen their interests and confidence,meanwhile,the current situation of writing teaching can be changed.From the perspective of second language learning,and based on the Language Input Theory and Language Output Theory,this study has designed three steps of Formulaic Language writing teaching.The first is the preparation of Formulaic Language input before writing.How to carry out Formulaic Language writing teaching can be stated by three teaching cases: Interesting teaching,Reading and reciting.The second is Formulaic Language output while writing.According to the actual situation of teaching,respectively from three aspects to design Formulaic Language writing teaching: the phrase collocation,sentence construction and textual connection.The third is the reflection of Formulaic Language writing after wiring.Reflecting from three perspectives: richness of language,fluency of language and accuracy of language.After the experimental teaching,it has been found that Formulaic Language writing teaching helped students decrease language errors while writing by retest.The language in students' writing is more fluent,more accurate and more plentiful,and the textual connection is more coherent,more native,so that students' writing skills and grades have improved a lot.It has been proved that applying Formulaic Language to English writing teaching has promotional effects for improving English writing ability.The obvious increase of Formulaic Language quantity and quality is not only beneficial for Formulaic Language accumulationand application,but also aware students' consciousness of Formulaic Language writing.In addition,students' interests and confidence can be developed.However,with the limited personal energy and time in practical teaching,Formulaic Language writing teaching and analysis can not be studied further,while Formulaic Language applied in English writing will have a better research prospect.
