Crop 3-D reconstruction and its visualization system study on plant physiological-ecological characteristics and morphological characteristics by taking organs, individuals, and groups of crop as its research objects, simulating the morphology and topology of them in three-dimensional space and their evolvements. Visualization of virtual crops is promising in the field of agriculture, forestry, ecology, design of landscape and computer animation, Which also have vital significance in the study of plant growth and reproduction of natural landscapes, using Yanzhan 4110 of wheat cultivars as its researching object. This paper focused on the morphological model, geometry reconstruction model of wheat organs at different growth stages a, photorealistic rendering and visualization system of wheat organs based on Microsoft.Net and OpenGL, which is combined with computer graphics, virtual reality and crop science and other disciplines of knowledge,First of all, after dealing with historical documents and the morphological character data of field experiment, I analyzed the characteristics of specific organs, and extracted the morphological characteristic parameters, and constructed the growth model, and achieved geometric modeling of wheat organs using the corresponding 3-D modeling technology, Which simulated the morphology and changes of organs in different growth stages by adjusting the control points to fit the actual conditions.Secondly, basing on morphogenesis model and 3-D reconstruction technology, the geometric models of root, stem and leaf were constructed. During the research, I constructed a root axis primitives using cylinder, and applied the topological structure to finish geometric model of the roots. A stem axis primitives was constructed by cylinder and I put spheres between cylinders to make stipes among stem segments. I built the model of wheat leaves using NURBS curve, and modified the models considering the characters of NURBS curve. Then, the individual model of winter wheat was constructed, combining the topological structure of wheat plants and organs' models.Thirdly, the 3D Visualization simulation effects demands a vivid authenticity. Accordingly, This paper based on OpenGL component library, using realistic technology, such as color rendering, texture mapping, lighting and shadow rendering to render organs and individuals. During real-time rendering, the dynamic evolution of wheat organs was realized, by calling the leaf color model corresponding to the specific wheat organs at different growth stages, In order to make wheat organs model more realistic, texture mapping are determined by combining historic data, output parameters of wheat growth simulation model based on Agent and images taken at different growth stages of surface during field test. After light rendering by the OpenGL graphics library built-in illumination model, wheat organs were built more three-dimensional visualization simulation.Given the interface scheme, the 3-D visualization system of wheat organs was built on the basis of the geometrical models and geometric models of wheat organs, topological structure of individual plant and rending models. High fidelity visualization effects of wheat organ models and individual model can be obtained after a few concise human-computer interactions. The system elaborated the 3-D Visualization models of organs and individuals of specific wheat variety YanZhan4110, which can provide the technical reference for wheat 3-D visualization in the future.
