| With the development of the online network, the Internet is gradually extended to all levels of society. Internet is not only considered as the tool to improve the transmission of information, to improve efficiency and promote interpersonal communication, also as the place where is open, interactive and immediate, for various sectors of society to vent their emotion and exchange minds. Nowadays, many online users express their feelings and post their opinions to unspecific things or people with media like pictures, words and videos though Web 2.0. Most of these contents are diversified content and subjectively express opinions with more personal ideas and emotions. However, contents on the traditional media are highly similar and declare objective facts in some degree. The subjective messages spread very fast and wide supported by the social media, and also it is irresistible. As an important part of the network of public opinion propagation, it also becomes a barometer of online public opinion because the spread of emotions can reflect the true views and attitudes of people from different levels of the society. The network society is the reflection of the real society. Problems in the real society are likely to be enlarged on the network and lead to more debates. Furthermore, some of them could influence the real society. Some extreme and negative opinions could somehow affect the stability of society. As the society is developing, various social incidents occur more frequently. While these incidents are spreading with the emotion venting, the emotion will somehow direct how incidents evolve. The decimation and analysis of online users in a specific social event will help the government understand the sentiments of public opinion. Also it provides the theoretical foundations for government to develop effective method and strategies to control the spreading of public opinion.This paper studied the emotional spreading phenomenon of online users in specific events. This paper collected online and offline data based on the emotions propagation model, emotion communication, and group polarization and then analyzed these data. According to the analysis, compare the different of spreading process of emotions between online and offline users. To study phenomenon of the online users’ emotion propagation from the propagation environment, communication patterns, expression constraint, network infrastructure and user’s behavior. By establishing a model, studied the mechanisms of the group polarization of online users. Briefly explored the process of how the online users become group polarized in the decision-making and strategies for controlling. The purpose is to have new ideas for studying in the field of group polarization of emotion propagations in specific events. |
