The application and development of science and technology in the field of medical and health have promoted the people’s health and quality of life. Meanwhile, progressively younger diseases such as chronic conditions, high-risk disease and sub-health have become the main factors which affected people’s health and quality of life,the face-to-face diagnostic model between traditional patients and doctors cannot meet the giant growing demands for health care. The traditional diagnostic model in the field of time and resources should be improved efficiently which presented a huge challenge to the medical and health care industry. The combination of wearable physiological detection technology, sensor technology, electronics technology and network technology not only can implement long-term and continuous detection of physiological parameters, but also can perform real-time monitoring on wearer’s health status and physical information which help doctors to implement real-time monitoring and remote consultation of users.Considering the limitation of traditional health care system and development requirement in current medical system, a new generation health care system, named remote telemedicine monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks, is established by taking the advantage of wireless sensor net work in traditional health care system. Compare to traditional health care system, remote telemedicine monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks breaks the limitations in time and space,greatly optimizes the function, enhances the performance in real-time, flexibility, intelligence and humanity. It is an excellent health care system integrated remote monitoring, remote diagnose and information management.Remote telemedicine monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks constitute of three parts, body area net work, local gateway and monitor center. On this basis, the goal of this system is established, and relative function requirements and system design are present. Agent platform deals with request from remote end and give a response.
