With the development of social economy, people’s living standards and the social life take importance on security. Prevention technology becoming an important part of public social security system and video monitoring technology is developing. With the rapid development of social digitization and networking rapid development, in the information renovation and construction process from the respective of industry production, management, education, information flow and other point of view, People fully aware of the importance of video monitoring technology because of video monitoring technology in the field of prevention technology and it has good performance. Picture video signal get more and more social attention because of itself has characteristics of visible, recording. With the intrusion alarm systems and access control systems, they constitute the three main elements of a modern integrated security technology to prevention system. Since the conventional video monitoring system in the use of cable transmission characteristics, it not only has high cost of the entire system, but also not suitable for networking. The wireless video surveillance system use embedded technology and wireless transmission technology. It highlights the advantages of embedded devices and wireless transmission, and solves the traditional wired video transmission costs, the difficulty of system optimization and low stability problems.This article describes the overall framework for wireless video surveillance system based on ARM9 embedded microprocessor and wireless WiFi card, which includdes hardware architecture design and software design. The core component of the system is S3C2440 A microprocessor, by expanding its peripheral hardware of building hardware platform. In accordance with the functional requirements of the system, the appropriate Linux operating system is bulit, which contains some improvements of U-Boot and detailed analysis of the U-Boot boot process and Linux kernel boot process, and on this basis make configuration for U-Boot and the Liunx kernel and create the root file system.The article translates and desigines the software of iamge information in transimission part based on the hardware platforms and the operating system. This article analyzes the characteristics of UVC device, and then captures outside world image through the camera sensor and the UVC driver, and through the Wi Fi network card driver and the application of it enable it autonomy to complete to set AP and authentication. The image date compressed and uploaded to the network by translating the Mjpeg-streamer to the embedded service terminal and loaded the data from the network by Mjpeg-streamer maked by analyzes the architecture of it and display in client terminal.In this paper, the system is mainly divided into hardware architecture design, software system design and the transmission with reception of date in applicant software.on the basis of the completion of each function module, through the test the system as a whole function, data transmission from embedded service terminal to the Linux video client and display via WiFi wireless sign. The system has realized the stable result and reched the design reguirement.
