Low carbon manufacturing can reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases effectively, Workshop layout and scheduling is an important part of carbon emission in manufacturing process. In order to reduce carbon emissions in the manufacturing process, this paper deeply analyzes the layout and scheduling of the manufacturing process of carbon emissions, and the complex relationships between the workshop layout and the scheduling. In the Multi-row machine layout, the model of the plant layout and scheduling of the total carbon emissions and the completion time of the manufacturing process was proposed.In order to solve the model, a multi-objective optimization algorithm for Fruit Fly Optimization Algorithm Multi-objective(MFOA) was designed. a new method of olfactory search based on the mixed step length was designed, The global cooperation mechanism was introduced to avoid the local optimization of MFOA. At the same time, the non dominated sorting method was introduced to deal with the multi objective problem.The hybrid step of olfactory searching could find the superior ability and stability of improving MFOA was proved through the example. Using mixed steps of olfactory search of MFOA seeking superior ability and stability can meet the needs of this paper was verified. Finally, the layout optimization of the minimum of the workshop carbon emission was compared with the scheduling optimization model of the minimum of carbon emission and the processing layout of the workshop. The results reveal that the workshop layout and scheduling integrated optimization model to reduce carbon emissions and reduce completion time has obvious advantages, and verify the validity of the model.
