Design And Development Of Self-Regulated Learning System Based On Sakai

With the rapid development of information technology and computer network technology,it has changed the traditional teaching methods and teaching mode,people’s life and learning have cannot do without network.Our life and learning will be more and more dependent on information technology and network technology.Our life and learning will be toward digital,networking,electronic,virtual development.The development of computer network make the "living and learning" has become true.Online learning is for training the learner’s collaboration exploring consciousness,improve learners’ comprehensive quality and so on has made outstanding contributions,particularly with the MOOC(massively open online courses)development,online learning platform has attracted people’s attention and imitation.A variety of online learning platform such as bamboo shoots after a spring rain as established.But in our country,the existing teaching platform most emphasized the teacher as the center.It emphasis on learning resource organization and development,lack of teaching management,lead to the development of learning platform for the lack of interaction and collaboration,can fully mobilize the enthusiasm of learners’ learning interest learning not to insist on the completion of the task of learning.This paper had study the Sakai frame work,learned about the Sakai frame work of teaching management and interface,and with other teaching management platform(Moodle)comparison,understanding the characteristics,the advantages of Sakai platform,the basic framework of the final choice of the Sakai as the independent learning platform.Design the teaching management platform based on Sakai,using object oriented programming language Java as the development language,select the MySQL database as the basic database,designed and completed the development of online learning platform system.In the program development process used in the Microsoft recommended MVC three layers:the presentation layer(UI),business logic layer and data access layer.The learning platform support the various types of resource upload and on demand.With third party plugins rich resources the platform have the rich resources.The learning platform support to the create course Center and syllabus,arranging teaching schedule;The learning platform support to assignments,tests and selective distribution,supportthe operationrelated gradebooks and online gradebook publishing;Su pport studentgrouping management;Support site with in the news and the mailbox,support room,discussion boards and chat in real time;support students to collect,collate and Reflection on the learning process,edit and publish personal learning works.Support the teaching portfolio,the formation of personal knowledge base and other functions.
