Abstract/Summary:
Dietary safety has remained a social concern in recent years.Educational institutions,as centers of personnel assets,should take comprehensive dietary safety measurements.Efforts are made in this paper to develop a catering management system for the logistics group of a university to meet their demands of centralizing purchase and management of all dining halls of the catering center.To begin with,this paper examines in details how the centralized management of dining halls is carried out by the university logistics group.To specify demands to the system,the paper proceeds with analysis to customer module and function module respectively.The specification enables further development and realization of the system from several sub-modules,such as function modules of catering administrators and logistics administrators that are marked as central issues of this paper.The framework of the system is designed with reference to B/S model.Developed in Java language,the system is based on RDB as a bottom database management tool.It is shown from trial operations that the system is successful in meeting logistics group’s actual demands in catering management,improving efficiency remarkably,reducing purchase cost and ensuring dietary safety.
