Investigation And Analysis Of The Construction Of Public Library Makerspaces In China

This paper mainly investigates the actual situation of various construction elements in the public libraries makerspaces,which is completed and put into use in China,and classifies the main groups of young people as the service target.And then I compare and summarize the characteristics and differences of different makerspaces in the construction elements,and provide reference for other libraries to build a makerspace.This paper mainly includes the following chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the background,the significance,research methods,research targets,research contents and innovation points of this paper.The research methods include literature research,social investigation,case study and so on.The objective of this research is to analyze the differences and deficiencies of the construction factors of the public libraries makerspaces in China,and provide suggestions.The content of this paper is to define relevant concepts,sum up the deficiency of the construction factors of the three public libraries makerspaces and propose relevant countermeasures.The innovation lies in the establishment of classification standards and the selection of respondents and content.In the second chapter,on the basis of a brief analysis of the related concepts of the makerspaces,this paper explores the value orientation of the public libraries and the makerspaces of the same space:sharing knowledge and information.Then,from the two aspects of the development of public libraries and the advantages of the implementation of makerspaces to the public libraries,this paper expounds the necessity of introducing the makerspaces into the public libraries.Finally,the paper points out five construction elements of public libraries makerspaces.The third chapter mainly introduces the current situation of the construction of public library makerspaces in our country.Our country has built a lot of makerspaces and has a variety of types,but the number of makerspaces constructed in public libraries is small and develops slow.Due to the different characteristics of every public libraries,there are some differences in the location of the service,and the age and scope of the service objects is also different,resulting in the differences between the various elements of the construction of makerspaces.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the method,object,procedure and content of case investigation,and then makes a survey and analysis of three public libraries in China.In this paper,the case investigation process is divided into the preparation stage,the investigation stage,the finishing stage and the summary stage.The main content of the investigation is the construction of the public libraries makerspaces.Different public libraries makerspaces,for different ages of the service object,there are differences in the provision of services.This paper,choosing Shanghai library,Chengdu library,Shenzhen library as a typical case for investigation,analyses the various elements of the construction of the makerspaces.The fifth chapter analyses the characteristics and insufficient of construction elements of the three public libraries makerspaces,mainly including equipment and resource types similar,customer setting projects being biased,lack of education and training,cooperation needs to be strengthened,work sharing and communication to be strengthened.The sixth chapter is the summary of the current public libraries in China and deficiency in the construction of makerspaces,combined with some university library makerspaces construction,giving advise for the future library makerspaces building.The seventh chapter summarizes the investigation and writing process of this article,and puts forward its own shortcomings.
