With the intensified lack of land resources, countries pay more attention to the development of ocean engineering and Marine technology. Underwater acoustic communication network (UACN) can supply the functions of disaster warning, underwater navigation, marine environment monitoring and military monitoring. The hardware platform of UACN plays a key role in UACN. So it has practical significance to design and realize the hardware platform of UACN. This thesis is based on design of UACN’s hardware platform and underwater acoustic network platform to carry out the related research.Firstly, according to the demand of UACN hardware platform operation ability and rich peripherals modules, selecting the United States TI introduced a new generation of dual-core(DSP TMS320C64x+ ARM Cortex-A8), high efficiency, low-power processor DM3730 as the core chip. Complete the design of the system functional block diagram through the analysis of the UACN’s hardware platform. The hardware platform is including the minimum system board and digital plate. The minimum system board is aimed to the design of high-speed PCB.The digital plate is aimed to the design of low-speed PCB including power supply module and so on.Secondly, according to the demand of underwater acoustic communication network, we transplant underwater acoustic network platform on the hardware platform. On one hand,analyzes the frame structure , operation mechanism and script configuration process, besides introduce the tools of data processing. On the other hand, establish the platform based on DM3730 embedded Linux development environment, cross-compile the Linux Kernel, make the root file system for launching, analyzes the staring process of embedded Linux system,create the SD card for launching DM3730,develop a channel interface which is used for data interaction, cross-compile the underwater acoustic network platform and transplant it into the DM3730 which is designed and developed in the thesis .It is made full preparations for the emulation.Finally, to prove the design of hardware platform can run smoothly, function modules can coordinate with each other, underwater acoustic network platform transplatated is compatible with the hardware platform.emulation is tested on the designed hardware platform and developed underwater acoustic network platform. And the ALOHA protocol run on the platform successfully, the packet transfer experiment was realized. And analyze the trace files which come from the emulation. Anticipated effect is achieved.This laid a good foundation for at-sea tests.
