In recent years, the rapid development of mobile communication industry,followed by a sharp increase in the number of carrier computer rooms, but also led to the increase of the energy consumption data of major operators. Therefore, the energy-saving for computer rooms has become one of work center for operators. The academe makes enough recognition with energy consumption and we can find a lot of research production. This paper analyzes the environmental characteristics and energy consumption of Class D computer room of telecom operators, and combines the development of Internet of things and the research status of energy consumption in the engine room at home and abroad. An energy consumption monitoring system of telecom operators based on the IoT technology been designed. The main contents of this paper are as follows:First of all, this paper expounds the overall design scheme of energy consumption monitoring system of telecom operators' room based on IoT. In the sensing layer,remote child nodes which measure energy consumption, temperature and operation condition are collected and analyzed. In the network layer, through ARM embedded system, using TCP/IP protocol to complete the remote data server transmission. In the application layer, information service platform to achieve the main equipment and air conditioning remote monitoring is created.Secondly, the paper combines the requirements analysis and function design of the information management service platform to complete the conceptual and logical design for the database. On the basis of the demand analysis, the system details is designed, and the system architecture diagram and the system function chart are drawn.Each function module implementation scheme and procedure are discussed in detail,the corresponding flow chart are drawn. Ultimately completed the information management service platform development and test run.Thirdly, this paper combines the existing air conditioning energy saving technology, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of various energy saving technologies and their application occasion. According to the demand characteristics of energy consumption and energy saving communication room in this system, the paper designs a simple energy saving algorithm based on maximizing the utilization of energy efficiency, to achieve energy saving and improve the room, equipment room power uncertainty, electricity safety and other issues.Finally, the test result shows that the system runs stably and realizes the features of data collection, display, abnormal alarm and remote monitoring. At the same time,an experiment system is given to show that the proposed system can reduce the energy consumption nearly 15% every month by using the energy saving strategy, which has a certain value for generalization.
