With the rapid development of science and technology,microprocessor has been widely used in all aspects of our daily life,and has a profound impact on national defense,commercial products and other critical areas,with its powerful programmability and attractive cost.Our country is behind the international advanced level,whether in the microprocessor design or manufacturing process.Research and design of high-performance microprocessors become very urgent.This paper focuses on the 32-bit MIPS microprocessor architecture.Using a five-stage pipeline,a 32-bit RISC microprocessor compatible with the MIPS32 instruction set architecture is designed,which adopts the Wishbone bus to control the adjustable duty cycle square wave output from the PWM module to complete the constant power output from the battery.The main work in this paper can be concluded as follows:In this paper,the overall structure of a dedicated microprocessor is proposed by studying the pipeline technology of microprocessor,the MIPS32 instruction set architecture and the working principle of the PWM.The design process is divided into two parts: microprocessor core design and peripheral design.On the basis of microprocessor core design,the ways of the Harvard structure,the data forward and the delay slot instruction are used to solve the structure hazards,the data hazards and the control hazards of the pipeline.Peripheral design accomplishes the design of the MIPS microprocessor core bus interface module and PWM module,attaching the MIPS core and PWM module to the Wishbone bus successfully.Furthermore,a programmable IC parameter fuse-trimming circuit is designed in order to carry out the final test.This circuit reduces the area occupied by the circuit compared with the traditional circuit,and has the advantages of simple structure and low cost.Finally,a verification scheme is proposed for the microprocessor designed in this paper.By setting up Modelsim verification platform,the microprocessor core and peripherals are fully simulated and verified to ensure the correctness of the function.The verification results show that the microprocessor can correctly complete the operation of the instruction and can correctly control the PWM module to produce the adjustable duty ratio square wave output.
