With the development of Internet and network technology,the function of instant messaging application has become increasingly rich.Owing to diverse functions of instant messaging application,it is no longer a simple tool,but an integrated platform,which is composed of communication,entertainment,business,customer service and other characteristics.This thesis mainly studies the network features of instant messaging application in the LTE network,and in the scene of virtual desktop and WebOS respectively.LTE is the trend and direction of mobile communication network,at the same time,instant messaging application is also a kind of application with huge commercial value.As the cloud computing develops fast,cloud service develops from platform to end devices,personal computer desktop develops from traditional personal computer to virtual desktop and WebOS,which are different developing direction of personal desktop system.Therefore,the studies of instant messaging applications in the LTE network,which in the scene of virtual desktop and WebOS respectively,can not only help network providers get know about network resource requirement of instant messaging applications in future,but also help to know better about virtual desktop and WebOS.This thesis uses a way of modeling and simulation to do the research.At first,this thesis chooses instant messaging application in the scene of virtual desktop and WebOS as research objects respectively.Secondly,this thesis uses network package capture tool to extract network features of instant messaging application.Thirdly,this thesis completes business modeling and model evaluation according to the extracted features of real application.Fourthly,this thesis implements established application model,and completes simulation of application.Fifthly,according to the application model of LTE network environment,this thesis evaluates performance value.After comparing the result data of performance value,analyzes the characteristics of instant messaging application in the scene of virtual desktop and WebOS.Finally,after performance evaluation,there comes a conclusion that LTE network support on the application of the text type of instant messaging is better than the audio and video instant messaging applications,at the same time,the required network bandwidth of the same type of application in the scene of virtual desktop is more than WebOS,which indicates that virtual desktop technology needs to be further optimized.
