With the rapid development of network technology,Fiber Channel(Fibre Channel,FC)protocol provides a high reliability,low cost and strong real-time solutions for the high-speed communication network and can meet the demand of today’s high-speed switching network system.However,switch is the foundation and core of the whole network for data exchange.In FC switch network,FC switch takes advantage of switching technology and mirror image technology.Namely,mirror image technology is the monitoring technology,which refers to copy the switch specified port of packets or in line with the protocol packets to the destination port in the FC switch network.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)According to the structure of the existing FC switches,FC switch protocol processing chip is designed and realized in monitor(Monitor,MT)port core to support FC switch chip input data monitoring,output data monitoring and message ID(Identifier)monitoring etc.In addition,it also supports frame transceiver functions among network management nodes,online dynamic monitoring and routing program loaded.(2)According to the functions of MT port,message ID access control module,control data buffer write control module,control data scheduling module,monitoring data transmission module,MT port frame transmission module and the receiver module MT port frame are designed and achieved.(3)After the modular design verification,integrated modules are interconnected,and function simulation and performance testing of MT port are achieved under a virtual simulation platform and FPGA verification platform respectively.This paper focuses on the design of the MT ports of simulation and verification.The result shows that this new intelligent monitoring model not only can be used for network monitoring and troubleshooting,but can be used for traffic statistics.In addition,its character is that function is completely independent of the line card port and network management nodes,and does not take up bandwidth resource,network management resource and allocation resource.It can be flexibly applied to the building process of FC switch network,and greatly facilitated the network datanetwork and has broad application prospects.
