The rapid development of Internet application technology and the proliferation of mobile intelligent devices make people rely more and more on the wireless network,in the context of the continuous development of the domestic service industry,shopping malls,hotels and other public places to provide wireless network access has become the most One of the basic services,the customer's online experience has become the focus of these businesses.In the public places due to the gathering of the crowd led to a large number of mobile devices dense distribution,a large number of high concurrent access easily lead to wireless network load imbalance phenomenon,part of the access equipment is busy or even network congestion,part of the access device is idle.Therefore,it is the focus of this paper to carry out load balancing for access and associated mobile devices and realize reasonable allocation and control of network resources.For the 802.1x protocol used in wireless local area network,this paper introduces the wireless access and handoff mechanism,the network topology and the deployment of wireless access devices.Based on the research of 802.1x protocol and the analysis of network load imbalance,this paper designs and implements the Connect Control Tool(CCTool),which can solve the problem of local load imbalance in WLAN network.CCTool works on the OpenWRT platform,using Madwifi driver to achieve its function.CCTool implements the load balancing function in two directions,first,the STA device initiates the access request,by comparing adjacent AP,selects the appropriate access to prevent the load from being too concentrated.Followed by an AP appears overload,can be reasonably allocated to multiple AP,to solve the problem of load concentration.The key issue to achieve load balancing is the definition of load metrics and the strategy to address load imbalances.The CCTool tool divides the load type into the number of sessions,traffic,RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication),and the data transfer rate,and use the load balancing strategy of AP master control access and handoff.CCTool tool is divided into load monitoring and analysis module and load balancing module,CCTool through the acquisition and monitoring of load indicators to determine the AP equipment load status.CCTool will load the state is divided into light load state,balance state and imbalance state three categories,imbalance state is divided into overload state and RSSI abnormal state.The corresponding maximum and minimum thresholds are set for the monitored loads,and the maximum threshold is set to the unbalanced state,and set the balance state between the minimum and maximum thresholds.When the load state of the AP becomes light load,the STA is allowed to freely access and switch.When the load state becomes balanced,we will take an access optimization strategy for the accessed STA to avoid overloading the load.When the load state becomes unbalanced,analyze the load status of adjacent APs,select the appropriate target for load migration,and allocate too concentrated load to other APs.After the migration is successful,the load status is changed to light load or balance again.If the load balancing fails,the AP will suppress the flow rate and the lowest transmission rate of the AP,and in a reasonable range to suppress STA on the use of AP resources to avoid network congestion and wireless access failure.Test the basic function and performance of CCTool tools by setting up real environment,the basic functions of CCTool tools are verified by testing RSSI values,session numbers,and traffic load balancing indexes,the basic performance of the tool is verified by testing the reliability,stability and access time of the CCTool tool.The test results show that the connection control tools basically meet the set expectations,and can improve the network performance well.
