The slot antenna is an antenna that opens a series of slots on the waveguide,coaxial,and substrate-integrated waveguide(SIW)surfaces and controls the slots.Its advantages are easy to set up and easy to install.The slot array antenna is easy to control the amplitude of the aperture,the volume is small,and the weight is light.It can easily realize the low sidelobe and even the lower sidelobe.This paper mainly designs the lowsidelobes waveguide slot antenna and the substrate integrated waveguide slot antenna.The main work is as follows:This article first introduced some of the antenna performance indicators,according to the antenna design criteria to determine the number of antenna gaps.When designing the waveguide slot antenna,the electromagnetic characteristics of the slot are analyzed.Then,according to the steps of designing the antenna,the antenna operates in the Ku band.Through the simulation of the HFSS,the level of the side lobes of the H and E planes is about-20 dB.The bandwidth with a VSWR less than 2 is greater than 3%,which verifies that this design antenna is reasonable.Finally,the antenna was processed and tested.After that,two types of substrate integrated waveguide slot antennas were designed.The center frequency of the antenna was changed to work at 15 GHz.The first antenna was a linear array.Since the gap between the substrate integrated waveguide and the waveguide gap was slightly different,the gap was further improved.With a gap,the Hsidelobe of the antenna is-16.8 dB,and the bandwidth of the VSWR less than 2 is greater than 3%.Finally,a small area array was designed.In order to reduce the volume,the area array was fed with two upper and lower PCB boards.In the process of designing antenna,through the processing error of the simulated antenna,determine which part has greater influence on the antenna and determine the machining error.
