| In recent years, with the rapid development of new service such as cloud computing, data center and high-definition video, optical networks which is regarded as the fundamental transmission facility should provide flexible, fast and reliable service transmission.Conventional Wavelength Division Multiplexing Optical Networks are limited by the fixed grid,it will waste a lot of bandwidth when transmitting new-style service. The Elastic Optical Networks based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technology has the advantages of high bandwidth, resource allocation and scheduling flexibility, and can meet the diversified bandwidth requirement of new-style service. Therefore,it is considered to be a promising optical transmission network. With the rapid increase in service bandwidth, network energy consumption issues obtain more attention from the industry participant. And it is widely acknowledged that energy consumption issues will be an important factor limiting the development of optical networks. The designing of Energy saving based on the characteristics of Elastic Optical Networks has become a hot topic in the ralated industry. At the same time, with the single fiber transmission capacity is growing, either the fiber breakage or other network’s failure will cause huge economic losses. Therefore, the survivability designing of the network is an another meaningful research based on energy saving. This thesis analyzes various typical energy-efficent algorithms proposed in recent years, and summarizes the innovations and existing problems of these algorithms. The main contents and innovations of this thesis are as follows:In order to improve the energy efficiency of Elastic Optical Networks among datacenters,an energy-efficient hybrid routing algorithm for Anycast service is proposed. This algorithm gives priority to the single path transmission which aims at reducing the number of establishing lightpaths and working components; The multipath transmission which is based on minimizing energy consumption is used if traffic congestion occurs.Traffic grooming strategy based on spectrum reservation is also introduced to reduce the overheads involving in bandwidth and transponder.Compared with traditional Anycast-MPR,the proposed algorithm can reduces the energy consumption and blocking rate at the same time.To this end,the algorithm achieves the balance of energy consumption and performance. In order to solve the energy-efficient protection problem in Elastic Optical Networks,a novel energy-efficient routing algorithm considering network survivability is proposed for the Unicast service and the Anycast service.By distinguishing the levels of protection required for the services in the network,it can effectively reduce the network’s protection resource overhead. In addition, this algorithm can not only improve the probability of spectrum resources sharing by means of distance adaptive modulation technology, but also reduce the number of establishing lightpaths and working components. At the same time, this algorithm takes into account the duration of the service, which can effectively reduce the additional energy consumption of the new service by using the selected optical path, thereby reducing the energy consumption generated by Elastic Optical Networks.Compared with traditional RSA-JAU-DPP,the proposed algorithm can reduce the energy consumption and the resource overhead at the same time. Moreover, the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the performance of the network survivability. |
