Microwave power modules are indispensable power devices in modern military system,and they also play a crucial role in aviation and communication.The microwave gain equalizer is an important part of the microwave power module.Its main function is to make TWT output a flat curve by equalizing the gain of the TWT.With the increasing demand for miniaturization of microwave circuits,the miniaturization of equalizers has become the focus of research,Apart from improving material and process used in equalizer,novel structure and theory are key points of equalizer development.This article has innovated the structure of the equalizer and proposed four new equalizers,solved the problem that the equalizer size is too large and the amount of equalization is low.It is suitable for use in highly integrated microwave circuits.A new type of double slit ring resonator is proposed.The equivalent magnetic permeability of the resonator is negative in a certain frequency range.It has left-handed characteristics and can reduce the size of the circuit.Based on this resonator,a small-sized equalizer operating at 2-8 GHz is designed.The equalizer has characteristics of large balance and small size,and is suitable for the miniaturization of microwave circuits.The electromagnetic characteristics of the structure of the Spur line and the structure of the defect were analyzed,and a combination of two structures was implemented to achieve a miniaturized equalizer operating at 6-18 GHz.In the actual test,this equalizer has a large bandwidth,good standing wave,easy adjustment,and is suitable for miniaturized microwave circuits with high integration.A resonator with slow-wave characteristics is proposed.The resonator is realized by etching a spiral defect structure on a microstrip line.An equalizer operating at 6-18 GHz is designed using this resonator.The equalizer requires only 50 ohms main transmission microstrip lines,eliminating the need for additional resonant stubs,greatly reducing the lateral size of the equalizer,suitable for the design of miniaturized microwave power modules.Using the physical characteristics of the bilateral parallel lines,a wave trap with large balance and insensitivity to resistance values is proposed,and a miniaturized equalizer operating at 2-12 GHz is designed.The equalizer is suitable for large equalization,high precision microwave circuits.This paper has completed a solid-state drive module working in 2-8GHz.The module uses two-way power synthesis to achieve output power of 32 d Bm in a wide frequency band.This implementation provided new ideas for the design of broadband high power microwave power modules.
