Research On The Development Strategy Of Haining Leather Industrial Cluster

haining Leather industrial cluster regards as the most important part of local economy in haining. After experiencing high -speed development period, it starts to present weakness of development. Cluster exists lots of urgent problems to be solved. At present, how to estimate systematically and effectively the development of leather industrial cluster in haining. Then we can suit the remedy to the case, and we also can put forward constructive suggestions in accordance with haining leather industrial cluster is facing.This paper reviews the theoretical knowledge of supporting the paper, and make generalizations on research at home and abroad. Also, this paper analyses haining leather industrial cluster's development situation with porter's "diamond model" in ASEAN-5 from production factor, demand factor, relevant industry and support industry, enterprise structure and competition, opportunities and government and so on, and analyses current problems that the cluster is facing. Then we can make an objective analysis on cluster by the evaluation of haining leather industrial cluster's development level. On the basis of the "diamond model", this thesis determines the five grade indexes, they are the factors of production agglomeration degree, demand element agglomeration degree, relevant support, enterprise structure and competition, government support and corresponding 17 second grade indexes. We can gain important weight value through the analytic hierarchy process for evaluation of the weight of each index. Combining haining leather industrial cluster's development data in 2005-2012, this thesis gives comprehensive remarks for the development level of haining leather industrial cluster. We can get the conclusion of the cluster development.The conclusion shows that the development level of haining leather industrial cluster begins to slow down. The cluster of scientific innovation ability is still insufficient, the market demand is lower, the government reduces the support for the cluster, short of human resources,protection of the environment. These factors restrict the development of cluster. At last according to these problems this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the development of haining leather industrial cluster.
