1970s, China's banking industry has begun to enter the electronic age. Especially after the 1990s, with the popularity of the network, more people in the general public have the opportunity to enjoy the convenience of Internet technology. The e-banking business of Chinese banks entered the new development period and form the electronic banking system contained online banking, telephone banking, self-service banking and mobile banking gradually. In 2014, China's e-banking transaction amount reached up to 124.54 billion pens, electronic banking replacement rate increased to 79%, and online banking transaction size exceeded 900 trillion. Today, with significant accelerating of the degree of mobile Internet technology's popularity, mobile banking is rising rapidly in the whole electronic banking system which still can't shake the position of online banking as a cornerstone of the entire electronic banking system. And the call service center and ATM self-service terminals are auxiliaries.Today, China's banks have been fully aware of the importance of electronic banking in the course of banking operations and they regard electronic banking as its necessary means to expand market share and enhance competitiveness. So the research on the performance of China's commercial banks'electronic banking business and discussing its future development is really important. The article studied the electronic banking business of thirteen representative China's commercial banks (five large state-owned commercial banks, seven joint-stock commercial banks and one city commercial banks) from 2009 to 2013 by using the three-stage DEA (data envelopment analysis) model and give a more detailed performance analysis and evaluation. In chapter one, the article compared the current main research method of efficiency analysis, and in this part, the article introduced and ultimately chose the three-stage DEA model as the main analytical method. In chapter two, the article defined the concept of electronic banking and then made an introduction of the characteristics of electronic banking business and China's electronic banking business development situation. That means on the basis of the traditional DEA model in the first stage, the second stage excluded the impact of environmental factors and random errors by using SFA model and corrected the input variables. Then combined with the output variables of first stage to analyze the performance of electronic banking business by using DEA model again which made the test result better fit the actual situation and more valuable. In the empirical analysis of chapter four, the article divided China's listed commercial banks into state-owned commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks according to ownership of property and made analysis and evaluation of electronic banking business's technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of these samples. In the second phase, after excluding the interference of real GDP growth and deposit share, obtained the efficiency value without the interference of environmental factors and random error by using the adjusted input and original output to analyze and evaluate again.By comparing the different listed commercial banks' electronic banking efficiency, the article came into following conclusions. The electronic banking business development of China's commercial banking is not balanced that the city commercial banks are the worst and joint-stock commercial banks are second. The electronic banking technical efficiency of state-owned commercial banks is better than above both which displayed that large stage-owned banks are going on the rapidly developing way at the better basis. And it is also undeniable that the electronic banking business development of joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks is very rapid by combining local characteristics and their own flexible operation. According to above conclusions, made related recommendations for further development of China's commercial banks'electronic banking business.
