A Theoretical And Empirical Study On The Influence Of Vertical Specialization On Export Quality In China's Manufacturing Industries

China's export trade has made spurt of progress of development achieved in the background of rapid economic growth. At the same time, Specialization and trade structure optimization in the process of globalization has become one of the most remarkable features of commodity trade with the gradual deepening of trade liberalization. Then China has been largely constructed vertical own professional specialization system. There exist a lot of researches on China's export "outbreak causes type" growth. Low cost of the means of production and human capital is generally considered the cause of China's export trade growth. In recent years many scholars make empirical study to find that China's export products both improve the technical level of complexity, diversity and product quality. Along with the diversification of the international division of labor and cooperation form, strengthening the contraction with the high productivity corporate from developed countries and enhancing the technical level of domestic enterpri ses is particularly important.Firstly, this paper calculates China's manufacturing industry 's vertical specialization and export product quality level during 2004 to 2012, and then make more detailed measures of the index of every industry. This paper studies the impact of China's manufacturing export quality from the vertical specialization and other variables, and evaluates index that can proxy China's industry export quality. T he result is that there are significant positive effects on the industrial export quality index and export complexity index from vertical specialization. Vertical specialization will reduce China's manufacturing export unit value of the product, and Independent research and development will also have a negative impact on the exp ort unit value. The improvement of export quality upgrading from vertical specialization is different, the export product quality upgrading from vertical specialization to benefit more if the industry itself quality benchmark is higher and the greater the degree of opening to the outside world.
