At present, China is in the shift of economic growth. The enterprises how to in this new economic norm and the increasingly fierce competition in the market situation, make correct decisions and improve business performance which are a test of the enterprise senior management layer of the ability and the level. Agricultural listed company as the present stage in China advanced productivity of agriculture representative, to promote the agricultural marketization, industrialization and agricultural economic rapid development plays an important role. However, the agriculture listed companies has fewer, profit ability is weak, with its status and importance do not match. Company executives that enterprise senior management persons, Company executives are the decision makers, has the ability to influence the level of corporate profits, the survival and development of enterprise as plays a huge role. Executives of its characteristics such as age, gender, education level, tenure, professional background, skill level in a large extent affect their cognitive, ways of thinking, insight and working style. Corporate executives is according to the various aspects of the enterprise to make decisions, and decision quality level is related to the survival and development of enterprises, and ultimately reflected in the enterprise's profit ability up. Through the study on the relationship of executive characteristics and profitability analysis, found which features of executives have effect on corporate profits, China's agricultural listed companies to change the status quo, and provide guidance to improve profitability.Firstly, this paper reviews the research status of domestic and foreign scholars of executives characteristics, expounds the concepts and theories of executives characteristics and profitability. Based on, to our country 35 agricultural listed companies 2009-2013 years a total of 175 observations value as sample, empirical study of China agricultural listed company executives characteristics and profitability of the status and correlation, selected age, education level, professional title, term of office, the government background, chairman and general manager of two post close status, the proportion of independent directors a total of seven indicators to represent the characteristics of executives, selected on behalf of the profitability of four financial indicators to reflect the profitability, using SPSS statistical software of executives characteristics and profitability of descriptive statistics analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, obtained the empirical results.Empirical analysis results show that agricultural listed company executives features most middle-aged executives, the education level of the majority of undergraduate and above, the shorter term, a higher proportion of titles, the low proportion of independent directors, chairman and general manager is divided into mostly, small part with government background. Agricultural listing Corporation profitability is weak, there is a downward trend. Executive characteristics of age, proportion of titles, tenure and the profitability of the company has a significant positive correlation; and government background, level of education, the proportion of independent directors, chairman and general manager of two hats close correlation from status and profitability of the company but not significantly; control variables in the asset liability ratio level and the company's profitability has a significant negative correlation, firm size and profitability of the company has a significant positive correlation, and firm age on profitability has no significant correlation.Finally according to the results of the analysis concluded, combined with China's agricultural listed company status, from building a reasonable age structure, the introduction of high skilled talents with high qualifications, increase the proportion of long term executive personnel and improve the internal governance mechanism etc. aspects to rational allocation of executive personnel, to create efficient management team for agricultural listed companies improve profitability put forward countermeasures and suggestions.
