The Research On Strategy Development Of Dalian DY Bank

With the reform and opening-up, foreign banks have been stably developed in China and have become an important force in the development of national economy. But with the opening up of Chinese financial market and the growing strength of Chinese banks, foreign banks are facing more and more competition and challenge. Under this circumstance, how to well use the opportunities and successfully obtain an advantageous position is an important topic for the foreign banks.Dalian DY bank was founded in 1992, which is the first foreign bank in northeast China. Recent years, with the rapid development of Chinese financial market, Dalian DY bank is under bigger and bigger threat and challenges from much more developed Chinese banks, which makes the profits of DY bank decline. Facing such a serious difficulty, Dalian DY bank is urgent to formulate new development strategies in order to improve its core competitiveness.Based on this analysis, Dalian DY Banks as the research object, this paper uses the theory of strategic management, PEST model, porter five models and SWOT analysis method to analyze the internal and external environment of the bank and obtain the bank development strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. At the same time, according to the results of the analysis, we choose and formulate the development strategies of the bank and to offer its overall strategy, competitive strategy and functional strategy. Finally, based on the characteristics of foreign banks, we provide a safeguard measures system of the new strategic implementation, which makes the overall strategy smoothly implement.This study is not only to provide the strategic planning and the sustainable development for Dalian DY bank, but is also a certain reference for the development of other foreign banks.
