Since the Industrial Revolution, economic in the world has a rapid development. Environmental pollution appears and gradually shows its harmfulness. Environmental pollution has brought irreparable loss to human health and living environment. Enterprises inevitably become the initiator of environmental problems when developing the economy in the use of resources. Many pillar industry of China's economic development will have serious environmental pollution and have a huge negative impact on the environment. Such companies must bear a special responsibility and obligation to environmental protection of the state, society and public. Heavily polluting enterprises not only to bear the responsibility of the governance of the environmental problems, but also take the initiative to publish the actions of the enterprises to protect the environment and maintain the ecological balance. And heavily polluting enterprises should provide reliable and real case of fulfilling their environmental responsibility to stakeholders. Therefore, the environmental information disclosure of heavily polluting enterprises gradually become the focus of public attention. and to raise the awareness of environmental information disclosure of heavily polluting enterprises is even more urgent.Steel type of heavily polluting companies use a lot of energy, raw materials and other resources in the production process, and continuously release waste water, waste gas, solid waste and other harmful substances to natural environment. It has brought a serious threat to the natural environment of human life. Therefore, this thesis uses environmental information disclosure of Xinyu Iron & Steel Co., Ltd(Xisco) as a research object. It analyzes the status of the company's environmental information disclosure combined with the data of Xisco through literature review, survey and other research methods. Compared with the status of environmental information disclosure of Baosteel WISCO,Ltd. and STSS, there are still many problems about environmental information disclosure of Xisco. Combined with the actual situation of Xisco,this thesis proposes some issues about environmental information disclosure of Xisco. For instance the carrier of disclosure is single, the coverage of disclosure is narrow, the environmental information disclosure is based on qualitative information, and it is difficult to guarantee the reliability of disclosure. Then this thesis proposes some targeted countermeasures such as nurturing the environment of environmental information disclosure, establishing an independent environmental information disclosure system, improving the content of environmental information disclosure, using a mode of combination of qualitative and quantitative, auditing disclosure of environmental information.Overall, according to the basic ideas of status description-present and analyze the problem-to solve the problem, this article conducts in-depth and comprehensive study on how to improve the environmental information disclosure of Xisco. I hope to provide useful reference for steel companies to improve disclosure of environmental information.
