Study On The Factors Influencing The Industrial Agglomeration Of Food Processing Industry In Shandong Province

Food and drink are the necessities of life,so the food processing industry as a source of food industry has become the focus of the development of the industry in twenty-first Century and has attracted the attention of experts and scholars.This paper takes Shandong Province as an example to study the factors affecting the industrial agglomeration of food processing industry.Firstly,this paper summarized and reviewed the current research status of food processing industry in the academic circles,and then introduced the concepts and theories about industrial agglomeration,which is the premise and foundation of this study.Then this paper made a detailed summary of the economic environment in Shandong Province,and then analyzed and summarized the status of industrial agglomeration of food processing industry in Shandong Province by using the industrial data from 1990 to 2004.In the end,the paper made an empirical analysis on the theoretical basis and the economic environment of Shandong Province.Empirical results showed that the effects from the level of economic development,the development of the second industry,the degree of urbanization,the level of market,the level of human capital investment was positive,which means that these factors above can drive the industrial agglomeration of food processing industry in Shandong Province;the development of the third industry is negative,which means that the development of the third industry is not conducive to the industrial agglomeration of the food processing industry in Shandong Province;the government's support is not obvious to promote industrial agglomeration in the food processing industry.Subsequently,according to the research conclusion,this paper puts forward the constructive suggestions for the development of food processing industry in Shandong province.
