With the development of globalization,the environment of enterprise is reallycomplex and the sharp strategic change happens frequently.Because the top management team is responsible for the strategic decision making,the strategic mutation has an inseparable relationship with the top management teams.Existing researches start from the personality characteristics of the top management team and study it's influence o n strategy,enterprise performance,etc.Due to the subjectivity of experience the current domestic study of strategic change in point view of the top management experience is still on the primary stage.the man in charge couldn't get a complete understanding in all fields.Due to the complexity of internal and external environment.Therefore,the existed recognition structure and values decide the explanation to relative message.In other words,the former experience influenced their strategic choice,which therefor influence the enterprise action.The practice has improved that experience has double effect of inertance and learnability,but the existing study on enterprise strategy does not take it seriously.Therefore,the article bases on the relationship of the top management team experience,strategic mutation and breakthrough innovation,analyzing the relationship among upper echelons theory,mutation theory and path dependence theory.Specifically,through the analysis of relevant articles,the article divides the top management experience into function experience and trade experience,studying the influence of the top management group experience to strategic innovation and the effect.Because the strategic innovation always resulted in strategic mutation,meanwhile,the top management group's attention on innovation influences innovatio n performance and future enterprise strategy.Therefor,we treat the breakthrough innovation as intervening variate.In research,this paper selects 182 enterprises as the research objects which occurred strategic mutations from 2010 to 2015,and uses Eviews 7.2 to do correlation analysis and regressioncoefficient test.The results show that the centrality of the top management group function experience centrality and the heterogeneity of the function experience have a positive correlation with strategic mutation;The centra lity of the top management group trade experience has a U-shaped relationship with strategic mutation;Breakthrough innovation,function experience centrality and trade experience centrality partly play the intermediary role but has no influence on thefunction experience heterogeneity and trade experience heterogeneity.As a result,when building a top management group,enterprise should concentrate on function and field experience and then choose suitable members to strengthen the diversity and diversity of group experience.Meanwhile,internal team training should also pay more attention to the functional position change of managers in order to fulfill functional experience.
