Humble leadership receives most attention from the researchers and management practitioners in recent years as a new topic in the area of leadership research.Despite widespread belief that humble leadership affects a range of employee and organizational outcomes,empirical studies of humble leadership are extremely rare.The effectiveness and mechanism of humble leadership need to be empirically explored more and in-depth.Based on the theory such as social exchange and social learning,this study was designed to empirically analyze the impact of humble leadership on organizational performance and a multiple mediating model was developed through introducing the variable of organizational identification and organizational creativity.In this way,the hot research areas of management such as humble leadership,organizational identification,organizational creativity and organizational performance was linked together.Then,the author examine the effect of humble leadership on organizational identification,organizational creativity and organizational performance respectively by structural equation model(SEM)to provide theoretical support and guidance to management practice.This paper conducted a survey to collect data by inviting corporate senior managers and ordinary employees with a long working life to fill out the network questionnaire,and finally obtained 248 valid questionnaires.The results of analyses showed that: humble leadership has a positive effect on organizational performance,organizational creativity and organizational identification;organizational identifi-cation can significantly improve organizational creativity and organizational perfor-mance;organizational creativity has significant positive impact on organizational performance;organizational identification plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between the humble leadership and organizational creativity;organi-zational identification and organizational creativity plays a completely mediating role in the relationship between humility leadership and organizational performance.Humble leadership could exert effects on organizational performance not only through organizational identification and organizational creativity solely,but also through the chain mediating effect of organizational identification and organizational creativity.The conclusions above reveal the mechanism of humble leadership,organi-zational identification,organizational creativity and organizational performance,and the empirical results also verified the effectiveness of leader humility.Therefore,in order to achieve the desired organizational objectives faster and better,the leaders should fully realize that their own behavior is closely related to the survival and development of the organization and then shape their behavior with humility actively.
