At present, the proportion of fracture oil and gas reservoir is increasing, especially in carbonate rocks, igneous rocks and tight sandstone in the process of oil and gas exploration and development in the world. On the other hand, even a great number of methods being used to predict the fracture of seismic data, the effect is not obvious.Mahu Depression is rich in oil and gas as one of the most important petroleum system in Junggar basin. So it is a key exploration area of Xinjiang oil field in the near future. The MH1 well on the western slopes in the northwestern margin of Mahu depression of Junggar Basin obtained high-yield industrial oil flow in the Triassic Baikouquan group, which reveals a good exploration prospect in this area. Studies have shown that the reservoir type is fractured-porous dual medium fault-lithologic reservoir. The use of post stack seismic data can just qualitatively predict the plane distribution of fractures, and the actual drilling condition and prediction results are on the contrary. So how to effectively implement the 1 well and the scale of the reservoir is a big problem in this area.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the pilot test area in the 1 well and the prediction of the high quality reservoir, the characteristics of the fault distribution and the development of the sand body in the study area are defined. At the same time, in order to identify the accuracy and reliability of seismic data, the method and principle of the pre stack and post stack fracture prediction techniques are investigated. By the study, it is confirmed that the well reservoir of well 1 is a lithologic hydrocarbon reservoir, and the development of the fracture is the main factor to control the production of oil well. At the same time, combined with the structure, reservoir and fracture development, the oil field drilling deployment recommendations were provide. This is the first time that a pre-post stack fracture prediction technology is formed in the area of the Junggar basin for clastic rock series.
