Pen-1 Well West Sag is located in the north-central part of the central depression of Junggar Basin and belongs to the southwestern slope of Luliang Uplift, including Dabasong Bulge, Xiayan Bulget, Shixi Bulge, Mosuowan-Mobei Bulge and Zone. The Sag is near Mahu Sag in the west, near Shawan Sag in the south and near Dongdaohaizi Sag in the east. Pen-1 Well West Sag is one of the most important hydrocarbon-generating sags in Junggar Basin. The area for research has experienced Hercynian Period, Indosinian Period, Yanshan Period, Himalaya Period and other periods of tectonic movement.Based on the relevant domestic and foreign research, with reference to the research contents and difficulties, through the research into structural characteristics, sequence and sedimentary facies characteristics, reservoir prediction and trap identification, reservoir research, comprehensive evaluation and target selection, the author has acquired the following main achievements and knowledge:(1) To carry out regional seismic geologic strata and make clear Well Pen-1 Well West Sag northwestern zones of Triassic Baikouquan group internal layer occurrence relationship and plane distribution characteristics. Baikouquan formation is divided vertically into three layers, with T1b2 and T1b3 overall development in the northern part of band and T1b1 overlap pinchout in low convex parts.(2) To carry out structural interpretation and mapping and make clear fracture and structural characteristics of the Triassic Baikouquan formation. On the whole, Baikouquan formation is a monocline uplifting to the north; mainly developed three periods and two groups of faults, the late Indosinian inverse plane fracture extension distance is larger, extends mainly in the north-east direction and is controlled by fracture development purpose layer 5 rows of north east to uplift belt.(3) To carry out research into sedimentary system, make clear Baikouquan formation distribution characteristics of sedimentary system and make a preliminary prediction of the development scale of the favorable facies belts. Baikouquan formation consists of a set of fan delta deposition with its front belt widely developed, and the reservoir is mainly controlled by the front facies zone, the development of relatively high-quality reservoirs is achieved under the background of low porosity and low permeability, and the development of effective reservoir above 6000-meter buried depth is also achieved.(4) To carry out the analysis of Baikouquan reservoir condition and make clear the favorable exploration zone, and put forward suggestions for further research. Xiayan-Shixi Slope of lithology tip arc belt is the top choice for the next step of risk exploration of Basin Pen-1 Well Northwestern Zones of Baikouquan group area, with lithologies as target. In this research project, the author, through the identification and evaluation of the alignment of Junggar Basin abdominal Triassic Baikouquan formation lithologic stratigraphic trap, makes further definition of main control factors of reservoir and hydrocarbon accumulation characteristics, and predicts favorable exploration areas, searches and evaluates favorable targets for exploration in the key exploration layer lines, provides targets for exploration and recommendations for seismic exploration deployment, and summarizes techniques and methods of seismic data interpretation fit for the abdomen lithologic and stratigraphic trap exploration features of Junggar Basin, with the expectation of further application in similar areas.
