For the exploitation of deep seafloor non diagenetic gas hydrate, Academician Zhou Shou Wei proposed solid fluidized mining method. To test the feasibility of this method, need a lot of hydrate sample to indoor physical experiments. The reaction kettle as the key part of hydrate synthesis device, its structure is reasonably direct impact on hydrate formation. The intensity of the kettle body is directly related to the safety of the experiment. Therefore, this paper has carried out the following work:(1) Conventional design of the small reaction kettle. According to natural gas hydrate synthesis conditions, determine the overall structure of the reaction kettle. And on the basis of the domestic steel pressure vessel design standard (GB150-2011), the determination of size parameters of the key structure in the reaction kettle and intensity, including cylinder, flange connection, and the kettle cover.(2) Analysis and designs of small reaction kettle. Based on the Workbench software and the theory of pressure vessel analysis design, finite element analysis program of reaction kettle is developed. To study the reaction kettle in the working load (internal pressure) under the action of stress distribution, and the finite element calculation results compared with the calculated value, to ensure the reliability of the finite element analysis program. About all components of the reaction kettle at the same time the stress analysis and evaluation, ensure the security of the experiment.(3) The synthesis of natural gas hydrate experiment. For gas hydrate static synthesis experiment scheme design, complete gas hydrate synthesis experiment, verify the rationality of the design of the small reaction kettle structure. At the same time to study the natural gas hydrates in the pure water system and the characteristics of synthesis of surfactant solution, for hydrate mass rapid synthetic experiment design to provide a valuable reference.(4) The reaction kettle over the structural parameters optimization design. Using the Workbench software, analyzed the reaction kettle to take over the structure parameters (the hole diameter, the length of tubes and the thickness, the length of Internal stretch tubes) Influence of stress distribution of opening-nozzle, to complete the parameter optimization design of the reaction kettle opening-nozzle.In conclusion, based on the conventional design method, to determine the gas hydrate synthesis of small size parameters of the reaction kettle; Develop a design for analyzing the reaction kettle finite element program; completed the gas hydrate synthesis experiment. Verify the rationality of the design of the structure of the reaction kettle. Ensure the safety of the experiment for the design of the large response devices provides valuable reference.
