Through research on Jihua Group Jilin Jinjiang Oil Chemical Plant 30 thousand tons per year MTBE unit,some problems were found out in the original process.The catalytic distillation process was adopted to replace the original mixed-bed reactor and azeotropic distillation tower technology.The azeotropic distillation tower in the original process was used as the under tower of the catalytic distillation process while an upper tower was added in the new process.By simulating,analyzing and optimizing the catalytic distillation tower,the optimum operating parameters of the catalytic distillation column was determined.The new catalytic distillation tower was designated to determine some main equipment parameters.A new sulphur recovery system using adsorptive distillation technology to deep desulfurize MTBE product was added in the process and the sulphur recovery system was designated.The methanol recovery systems and products methanol complement system were reformed.The new process was analyzed and evaluated,and the results show that the income of 2.35 million yuan per year is increased after using the catalytic distillation technology.The new desulfurization system makes the sulfur content in the product less than 10ppm and achieves the national V standards,which increases about 7 million yuan income.The economic benefit is significant.
