Kaolin is one of the most widely used mineral resources in the development and utilization of human resources.Kaolin has excellent properties such as plasticity,adhesion,dispersion,adsorption and so on,which is widely used in paper industry,ceramic industry,rubber,plastics,refractories,and other industries.Guangdong kaolin resources,ore reserves are large,easy to mining,high content of kaolin,but associated impurities iron is high,it is difficult to develop and use.According to the ore property,sand removing and removing iron impurity,calcination whitening and so on a series of research on ore,enhance the value of resources.(1)Mineral process mineralogy research shows that the ore containing kaolinite quartz mica about 35%,44%,14%,6% potassium feldspar,the iron content of about 1%;high SiO2,to improve the grade of kaolin and Fe2O3 content,decreased SiO2.(2)The mortar test showed that the-0.045 mm content was 36.42% after the 30 min and 50% when the concentration of the slurry.Settlement classification results-0.045mm+0.030 mm yield of 7.20% of pulp slurry;-0.030mm~0.020 mm the yield of 6.23%;and-0.020mm~0.010 mm was 6.55%,with three levels of soil kaolin ceramic industry(TC-3)standard-0.010mm+0.005 mm grain yield was 9.67%,with two levels of soil meet the kaolin powder rubber(XT-2)industry standard.The grain yield of-0.002 mm was 0.91%.Meet the rubber industrial soil zero grade kaolin powder(XT-2)standard.(3)After the ore separator plate after qualifying,concentrate through 250 mesh sieve,sieve product by superconducting magnetic separator impurity,superconducting magnetic separation conditions for 1# steel wool as the magnetic medium,the magnetic field intensity is 5.5T,the slurry concentration of 17%,slurry flow rate of 1.5cm/s,after two times of superconducting magnetic iron in kaolin was as low as 0.53%.(4)Magnetic separation concentrate by calcination and whitening calcination temperature is 1200 degrees Celsius,holding time 2h.Kaolin concentrate whiteness reached85.6%,reached the national standard of paper industry kaolin products ZT-1 grade one grade kaolin standard and enamel industry in the TT-0 class standards.Improve the value of the kaolin.
