Metallurgical industry is a industry with high energy consumption and heavy pollution,whose SO2 emission is second only to that of the coal power generation industry.With the introduction of the new environmental law,the state put forward more stringent requirements for the control of SO2 emission.The method of flue gas desulfurization with activated carbon has the ability to deal with many kinds of pollutants,and can also realize the recovery of sulfur resources.The pore structure of activated carbon has a strong adsorption performance,and its specific surface area can be used as catalyst carrier.In this study,the catalysts were prepared on the shell activated carbon carrier supported by copper oxides and nickel oxides,and the composite catalysts were prepared.The effects of process conditions and preparation conditions on the desulfurization performance of the material were investigated by changing the parameters such as the air velocity,bed temperature,SO2 concentration,the loading of active components and the calcination temperature.The results show that the lower the space velocity and SO2 concentration,the higher the sulfur capacity of Cu/AC and Ni/AC catalyst,the sulfur capacity of Cu/AC and Ni/AC catalyst increases with the temperature and then decreases,and reaches its peak at 60?.The optimum preparation conditions of Cu/AC catalyst are as follows:the calcination temperature is 350? and the copper loading is about 5%.The optimum preparation conditions of Ni/AC catalyst are as follows:the calcination temperature is 600? and the loading of nickel is about 1%.The maximum capacity of Cu/AC was 28.6mg/g and the maximum capacity of Ni/AC was 54.18mg/g.The low temperature desulfurization performance of the two component catalyst 1Ni4Cu/AC was between the 5Cu/AC and 1 Ni/AC,showing no good bimetallic effect.Ni/NAC and Ni/KAC were prepared by the modification of activated carbon carrier by HNO3 and KOH,which has a higher sulfur capacity.The physical and chemical properties of the desulfurizer were studied by XRD,FT-IR,SEM and BET.The results showed that both the pretreatment with concentrated HNO3 and NaOH could increase the sulfur capacity of the catalyst to a certain extent.The acid and alkali modification treatment can increase the proportion of oxygen functional groups and the specific surface area of the surface,and improve the dispersion of the active components.The deactivated Ni/AC was regenerated in a nitrogen atmosphere and the regeneration was relatively complete at 400?,and the carrier gas flow rate could only change the regeneration rate.The desulfurization performance of Ni/AC did not decrease significantly when used for flue gas desulfurization after regeneration,after 5 times the sulfur content can still be maintained above 40mg/g.
