Today,more and more new materials come into being owing to food technology and packaging levels improve continually,be faced with the diversification of packaging materials and the impact of traditional packaging on food and the pollution of environment.Based on the food safety of current social problem and sustainable development,this paper research about the edible materials.Through the literature reading,the author choose starch materials to research and analysis in-depth.at the same time,for the application of new packaging materials,author explored the different dimensions demands of users through market research and observation analysis.On the basis of this,the author do experiment with starch materials as the main materials,supplemented with the antibacterial and freshness edible materials to achieve better to fitting packaging material.and testing for the antibacterial of materials.After fully thinking about the application of materials and the demands of users,the author uses a new perspective to interpret the relationship between food and packaging,so that food and packaging mix together in the chemical level,physical level,emotional level,through materials?sensory and emotional factors reshape the relationship between food and packaging.The ultimate goal of this paper is to study how to change the edible materials only stay in the laboratory research with the help of effective design method,transform the material into practical,available products through the integration of design,so as to provide some references for the research and the practical application of edible materials in the future.
