With the rapid development of high technology industries and the deep research on microwave technology,microwave metallurgy,as a new green metallurgy method,has developed into a noticeable cross-disciplinary frontier field.For the industry of microwave metallurgy,this is an era of challenges and opportunities,which are encountered by human at present.How to apply microwave technology into metallurgy field and create enormous potential economic benefits and environmental protection effect will be a developing trend for metallurgy industry.As a core part of microwave chemical reaction system,the development of microwave chemical reactor is one of the key technology that was applied microwave technology into metallurgy field.Reasonable design of microwave chemical reactor will increase the efficiency of microwave heating,improve heating uniformity and accordingly raise the utilization efficiency of microwave energy.The traditional manufacture model of microwave heating equipment is by the way of "design—trial-produce—revise",which is generally constrained by long-term production and high costly price and so on.Computer-aided design techniques are conducive to shorten design period and reduce development cost.High Frequency Structure Simulator(HFSS)is capable of predicting and simulating the distribution of electromagnetic field in microwave resonator,which is helpful to master the distributing regularity of electromagnetic field,accordingly offering facilities for the research and development of microwave chemical reactor.The sensitivities parameters of three metallurgical materials(ilmenite,cuprous chloride,sodium chloride)as well as the electromagnetic wave absorbing performance were studied by means of numerical computation in this paper.Then the sensitivities to parameters of multi-mode cylindrical cavity are studied and the parameters,which affect the effectiveness of multi-mode cylindrical cavity,are optimized using the combination of numerical calculation and software simulation.Moreover,optimizing analysis and design of a microwave flash multi-mode cavity is investigated.Besides that,matching performance with the inter-coordination between microwave chemical reactor and material is taken into account.Some principles and methods are proposed for the optimal design of microwave chemical reactor according to the research results,hoping to provide some references and application supports for the industrialized application of microwave chemical reactor.
