Due to the flaws in the anti-bending ability of epoxy,we choose to add high toughness of nano-fillers to improve the toughness of epoxy resins.However,multi-walled carbon nanotubes is not easy to disperse in an epoxy resin.When using nano-filler,we must ensure its dispersion in the resin.In this essay,we try to use inorganic nanomaterials to coat carbon nanotubes so as to improve its dispersion,and we select nano-zirconia as the coating material.Nano-zirconia has good electrical properties,corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance.With its coating of carbon nanotubes,nano-zirconia can not only improve the dispersion of carbon nanotubes,but also can improve the corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance of epoxy resins,ect..When using the Sol-gel method to coat carbon nanotubes with zirconia,it can reach a suitable temperature,which can not only keep the zirconia in a good crystal presence,but also can keep the nanotubes in a complete structure.Meanwhile,it can successfully make a chemically combination between zirconia and carbon nanotubes to obtain composite materials-ZrO2-MWCNTs.We can use Hydrothermal to coat carbon nanotubes with zirconia.Due to the excessive addition of zirconia,zirconia will get reunion itself.Therefore,we can reach a more appropriate amount of zirconia addition,which will block its reunion and make it better to coat carbon nanotubes.Finally,we can obtain better properties of composite materials-ZrO2-MWCNTs.Using Hydrothermal to optimize the condition of the coated carbon nanotubes by adding Cr(NO3)3 · 9H2O as an additive.Meanwhile,reducing its agglomeration of zirconia and improving the load factor of the carbon nanotube on its surface.Therefore,the zirconia can be more uniformly dispersed on its surface,and such that the dispersibility of carbon nanotubes is improved.Finally,we use the prepared composite material ZrO2-MWCNTs to present by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA).The results indicate successful combination of zirconia with carbon nanotubes,and after adding additives,zirconia loads best.We need to use the obtained composite material GPTMS to modify the surface,and to disperse it in the epoxy resin to prepare a composite coating bey means of ultrasound,and stirring.At the same time,we need to evaluate the dispersibility of the coating,thermal stability,resistance to corrosion,abrasion resistance and impact resistance with SEM,TGA,impedance spectroscopy(EIS),high temperature and high pressure reactor,wearable device,impact instrument and so on so forth.The results show that:after adding nano-materials,coatings's corrosion resistance and wear resistance are improved.Moreover,the adding amount of zirconia in the composite materials also has an influence on its wear resistance and corrosion resistance.After adding additives,zirconia can uniformly dispersed in the surface of the epoxy coating,and added the composite into epoxy,and its coating properties are remarkably improved.
