Dye/polymer microspheres is a new type of functional composite material that incorporates a colorant in a specific way.It not only has the advantages of large specific surface area,fine dispersibility and surface structure and morphological diversity,besides owning excellent color performance of color.It has a wide range of applications in the fields of the fiber dyeing,inkjet printing of textile matrix,biomarker and detection,clinical diagnosis,light-emitting diodes and photonic crystals.The reactive black 5 dye/polymer microspheres synthesized by soap-free emulsion polymerization have a regular spherical shape with uniform particle size.When the amount of reactive black 5 Dye is 52.2%,the average particle size of the microspheres is 96.9 nm and the zeta potential is-19.8 mV.The dip dyeing method was used to dye the modified cotton fabric with reactive black 5 dye/polymer microspheres under salt-free conditions.The dry rubbing fastness of the fabric was 5,the color fastness to soaping and wet rubbing fastness degrees are greater than 3-4 grade,cotton stained fastness of 5 grade,wool fastness to color fastness of 5 grade,light fastness is greater than 3-4 grade;alkali-fastness of color perspiration of 3-4,the original color fastness to alkali perspiration is 4-5 grade,wool fastness of 3 grade or more,cotton backing fastness of 3-4 or more.Thefore,the reactive black 5 dye/polymer microspheres dyed cotton fabric that performed excellent color fastness.When the amount of dye was controlled at 52.2%and the drying temperature was 120?,the K/S value of the cloth dyed with reactive black 5 dye was 6.01 according to the traditional dyeing method.at the same condition,the cotton dyed with the reactive black 5 dye/polymer microspheres performed K/S whose value was 11.75.we can observed what the reactive black 5 dye/polymer microspheres dyed cotton fabric could enhence color fastness of fabric,which the color depth of fabric had enhenced 95.5%.the usage rate of dye is greatly increased because of the reduced use of salt during dyeing.The dyeing rate of microspheres dyeing conton fabric are more than 90%,hence this paper topics,for improving the utilization of reactive dyes and reducing the use of electrolyte and the discharge of dyeing wastewater,is of great significance.
