Carbon fiber is a high-performance fiber,with high temperature,high stability and other characteristics,it can be used in a variety of industries.At the same time,carbon fiber is also a brittle material,in the preparation process,there will be fiber rupture and hairline and other issues occur,when used in composite materials,there will be poor interface adhesion,resulting in can not improve its mechanical properties,To improve the occurrence of this phenomenon,the carbon fiber sizing process has become a key step in production.At present,most of the domestic carbon fiber sizing agents need to be imported from abroad.In order to further develop the technology for producing carbon fiber in our country and make a major breakthrough in the production of carbon fiber production technology,This article will study the carbon fiber sizing agent.Most of the carbon fiber sizing agents used in our country are traditional oil-soluble sizing agents.Because of their organic solvents,they are easy to volatilize.When used,they will have a serious impact on the surrounding environment and will affect workers' health.Therefore,research and development of environmentally friendly sizing agent not only meet the environmental requirements of VOC emissions requirements,but also to meet the domestic manufacturers of carbon fiber composite materials process requirements.In this paper,two types of carbon fiber sizing agents,PAA and PAEK,were prepared by chemical modification of water-based epoxy resin.The optimum synthesis conditions of PAEA were as follows:the feed ratio of PEG6000 to epoxy resin E44 was 1.6:1,and reacted at 120 ? for 2 hours.The addition amount of primary amine catalyst was 0.5%of the reactant.The most PAEK Good process conditions for phosphorus pentoxide and epoxy resin E44 feed ratio of 1.4:1,at 75 ? for 3 hours.The molecular structures of PAEA and PAEK were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.The thermal stability,mechanical stability,particle size and viscosity of PAEA and PAEK were studied.PAEA and PAEK were obtained by measuring the surface tension and contact angle of the emulsion.When the epoxy values were 0.03 mol/100g and 0.05 mol/100g,respectively,the emulsions prepared at optimal concentrations of 1%and 0.4%Carbon fiber,and at this time the fiber characterization.The results showed that both of them can significantly reduce the amount of wool yarn and improve the percentage of groups.It can be seen by electron micrograph that PAEA and PAEK can effectively fill the carbon fiber when the applied amount reaches 3.0mg/g and 4.0mg/g The flawed part of the surface of the filament can be uniformly spread on the surface of the fiber.By measuring the breaking strength of the filament,it can be seen that the PAEA and PAEK reinforce the carbon fiber and improve the breaking strength;finally,the interlaminar shear strength results show that,The interlaminar shear strength of the carbon fiber cloth composite to which PAEA and PAEK pulp had been applied was increased by 129%and 141%,respectively,compared to the case of no sizing treatment.Therefore,PAEA and PAEK can be used as the carbon fiber sizing agent,and the PAEK relative to PAEA has better sizing performance.
