Waterproof and moisture permeable material is a functional fabric with both waterproof and moisture permeability.It is also known as respirable material or artificial skin material and plays an important role in protective clothing and outdoor casual wear.Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)with high strength,excellent temperature resistance,good acid and alkali resistance,outstanding chemical stability and other superior properties have aroused great attention.This paper designed a kind of special waterproof and moisture permeable and self-cleaning material with excellent acid,alkali and corrosion resistant based on the bionic effect of lotus leaf,utilizing the excellent physicochemical properties of PTFE and doping of SiO2 nanoparticles,which provided theoretical and experimental basis for the development of a new waterproof and moisture permeable material.Herein,the super-hydrophobic bead SiO2/PTFE nanofiber membrane was successfully prepared by electroblown spinning technology followed by high temperature calcination,with 60%PTFE emulsion as the main raw material and adding different contents of SiO2 particles.The thermal stability,fiber components and morphology information of the SiO2/PTFEmembrane were analyzed by TG,XRD,FTIR,ESM,etc.,and the impact of different contents of SiO2 on structure and properties was discussed.Meanwhile,the pore distribution,porosity,water absorption and permeability,contact angles and waterproof and moisture permeable performance of the membrane were analyzed.Finally,the self-cleaning properties of super hydrophobic beaded SiO2/PTFE nanofibers were also studied.The results showed that the introducing of SiO2 could build a rough surface convex structure.Comparing with the pure PTFE fiber membrane,the bead Si02/PTFE nanofiber membrane(BLNFMs)showed a super hydrophobic surface and the water moving angle(?adv)and water contact angle(WCA)were as high as 161°and 155 °,respectively.With the raising SiO2 contents,the pore structure,permeability and moisture permeability of the BLNFMs increased with a good linear relationship.When the content of SiO2 was 7.3 wt%,the BLNFMs has moderate moisture permeability(9.7 kg·m-2.d-1)and air permeability(7.2 mm·s-1).BLNFMs could also show the excellent acid and alkali resistance and antifriction performance.After 30 times of wear or immersion in strong corrosive solution(pH from 0 to 12)for 24 h,BLNFMs could still maintain a superhydrophobic surface.In addition,BLNFMs has excellent self-cleaning properties which made it is potential to be used in the fields of membrane distillation,multi-functional protective clothing,et al.
