Polyacrylonitrile(PAN)nanofibers are widely used in textile,medical,water filtration and adsorption fields due to their good chemical stability,high porosity,small fiber diameter and large specific surface area.However,the hydrophobicity and susceptibility of its surface have limited its application.In general,the introduction of an inorganic oxide combines its excellent properties with polyacrylonitrile nanofibers to form a polyacrylonitrile-based nanocomposite fiber material with special properties.In this paper,silicon dioxide(SiO2)and zinc oxide(ZnO)nanoparticles were introduced into polyacrylonitrile solution by ultrasonic dispersion method,and SiO2/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane with waterproof gas permeability and ZnO/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane with excellent antibacterial property were prepared by air-jet spinning process.Firstly,the optimum spinning concentration was obtained by debugging the concentration of polyacrylonitrile solution in the air-jet spinning process,and the average fiber diameter was 182.6 nm.After adding SiO2 to the polyacrylonitrile solution and ultrasonically dispersing,the as-spun SiO2/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane is obtained by air spinning.By calcining at low temperature,the SiO2/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane is more closely packed,and the combination of the presence of the fiber SiO2 nanoparticles and the heat treatment makes the surface of the SiO2/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane excellent in hydrophobicity,and its water contact angle is up to 144.8°.The air-jet spinning process gives the fiber membrane a high porosity of 65.8%.The comprehensive performance of the SiO2/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane is best when the content of SiO2 is 2.0 g.The hydrostatic pressure was 6.3 kPa,the water vapor permeability was 17.4 kg/m2/d,and the tensile strength was 4.9 MPa.The combination of ZnO nanoparticles and PAN nanofiber membrane can effectively solve the clustering effect of ZnO nanoparticles.The ZnO/PAN nanocomposite fiber membrane was prepared by air spinning method by mixing ZnO nanoparticles with polyacrylonitrile solution and ultrasonic dispersion.The experimental data show that less ZnO content can give the fiber membrane excellent antibacterial properties,the inhibition rate against Escherichia coli can reach 99.9%,and the inhibition rate against Staphylococcus aureus can reach 100%.ZnO nanoparticles can promote the crystal growth of PAN nanofibers,which is beneficial to improve the mechanical properties of fiber membrane up to 2.77 MPa.The fiber membrane produced by this method have also been shown to have good cycleability and rapid contact antimicrobial properties.
