Ever since the invention of heat engine, heat engine has been widely used in various industries. Up to now, we use most mechanical that is heat engine. Since the heat engine brought a lot of convenience is applied to human beings, people’s living standards have greatly improved. However, the energy efficiency of a heat engine has been very low, such as the utilization of some of the common heat engine: diesel engine efficiency is about 37%, liquid rocket fuel efficiency of about 48%, about 25% of the gasoline engine efficiency and so on. Low utilization of heat engine, then energy consumption will increase, and many environmental pollution waste discharge. Now, humans just walked into the 21 st century and have faced energy crisis and environmental pollution. So, human beings think how to improve the utilization or the use of a heat engine of inexhaustible, non-polluting energy.Faced with the current situation, the scientists hopes of finding a way out for mankind: develope solar energy and solar energy accomplish human existence and a new driving force for sustainable economic development.This project work:firstly, describes the current situation of China’s solar energy utilization and the introduction of the main object of this article: Solar heat engine. Solar thermal system is composed of solar collectors and heat machine components, so the utilization of solar heat engine jointly determined by the heat engine efficiency and utilization of solar collectors. There are heat losses due to collectors, so the efficiency of the whole system related to the temperature of the collector. Secondly, summarize the inner solar two source reversible heat engine in the case of a given heating rate, efficiency and power of solar thermal systems value as well as optimum operating temperature with mathmatica and origin studied the relationship between the three. Solar heat engine is the best working temperature, and at the same time in the environment temperature is different. Optimum operating temperature of power and efficiency have related parameters and conduct researching and drawing graphics using mathmatica and origin. Analysis, solar heat engine efficiency and power values associated with thermal resistance and the linear heat loss coefficient.Lastly,after the summary of previous research, innovation of this paper is to study the solar Stirling heat engine. Significance of this research is to develop Simple Solar Stirling engine whose prospects is very good. This research might lay the foundation for the use of solar thermal machines widely in the future. Simple solar Stirling engine uses a low pressure hot air Stirling engine. Because the air is a mixture which is not easy to study, so use the van der Waals gas as the working substance of Solar Stirling Engine. In this paper, mathmatica and origin study solar Stirling heat engine efficiency,power and optimal operating temperature.
