Energy is indispensable to human existence, economic development, social progress and modern civilizations, and it plays a very important role in the modern society. Solar air collector is very popular with the public due to its advantages of the anti-freezing effect in winter, simple structure and easy maintenance. However, its heat collecting efficiency is relatively low as a result of the less thermal capacity of air and lower heat-transfer capability as well as thermal storage capacity. Consequently, this paper designs a kind of flat-plate solar air collector with baffles, taking the baffles plate as the core component, which directly influences the air flow directions in the channel, so as to enhance the effect of heat transfer, improve the heat collecting efficiency.First of all, this paper theoretically analyzes the flat-plate solar air collector with baffles,and then introduces its designing idea and working principle in details. Then it analyzes how different factors will influence the collectors based on experimental studies, and finally finds out that the flow channel is more applicable to the flat-plate solar air collector with baffles.Secondly, this paper makes a comparison between flat-plate solar air collector with baffles and the traditional ones through software of Fluent, discovered the outlet temperature is higher than the traditional ones, with simulation results of heat collecting efficiency enhanced 29.12%.Meanwhile this paper makes the simulation studies on the heat transfer and flow characteristics of collector and represents the study results of different inlet velocity and temperatures. Finally,through the method of orthogonal test, this thesis draws a conclusion that the priority of the influential thermal efficiency factors should be: air flow height>the ratio between baffles plate spacing and total length>the ratio between opening area and plate area, and the best combination is the ratio between opening area and plate area(a/A) is 0.12, the ratio between baffles plate spacing and total length(d/L) is 1/7, air flow length(H) is 50 mm. With this combination, the heat collecting efficiency reaches 80.46%.
