The outbreak of SARS, bird flu, H1N1 and other unexpected epidemic shocked the world, thousands and thousands of patients died, and we found that these epidemic dise ases are caused by the animal`s diseases. Taking animal`s temperature helps to know ab out their health condition and heat loss of the organism, so that find these infectious dise ases early. Undetected unqualified meat, that might flow into the food market, will affec t the food safety and threaten seriously human health, so the measure of animal's temp erature plays an extremely important role in prevention, detection and control of the dise ases.This paper designs a non-contact infrared temperature measurement system, which is capable of non-contact measuring animal`s body from a great distance. Today, ong-range infrared sensors cost more and are commonly used in industrial temperature acquisition. From this article the design--simple converging lens system, installed in front of the sensor 1cm diameter of 10 mm focal length lens, by calculating and verifying of the sensor field of view and convex imaging principle, successfully focusing on the infrared, make the measurement distance increasing, and drive the laser diode lights temperature region, and complete the accurate measurement of body temperature of the animals. Selection MLX90614 infrared temperature sensors, thermocouple collection 81101 animal body temperature and ambient temperature, respectively, are magnified by the amplifier, ADC analog to digital conversion, and digital signal processing by DSP, digital signal, obtained by the low-pass filter, is stored in the sensor RAM, the microcontroller via STC12LE5A60S2 SMBus bus reads the temperature stored in RAM, and drives 12864 LCD display temperature value.After the debugging of the system, temperature measurement distance is 10 cm, the temperature measurement accuracy of ± 0.5 ?. Since the measurement fast, easy to use, can be used in animal body temperature anomalies in large-scale screening.
