With the rapid development of social and economy, as construction land in urban is limited, high-rise buildings have sprung up in cities in china and abroad. Super-tall building as a symbol of a regional economic development, the region will build more and more highrise buildings. Therefore, the current study of tall building structures have become hot topics in the study of the current domestic and foreign experts and scholars. Frame core tube structure, tube in tube structure, the structure of the mega frame structure system has been used for decades, the domestic and foreign experts and scholars rarely put forward new structure system. Professor Ma Kejian from Guizhou university proposed a super-tall new cassette structure system which combined prefabricated space steel mesh tube with reinforced concrete core tube, the structure can improve the conventional frame tube faults of structure; Since 2008, this new structure has been used in some tall building. As the new system will be widely used in practical engineering, the study of mechanical properties and the ability of earthquake resistance of the structure is necessary.This paper mainly introduces the basic structure of the tube in tube cassette structure,and compare the comprehensive performance of prefabricated steel grid box structure with conventional steel frame- tube structure. The new steel tube in tube cartridge grid structure research and comparative analysis of shear distribution of internal and external tube is done;Mainly set seismic performance level for different components at different positions of the new hybrid structure;Besides, seismic performance-based analysis of the new steel tube in tube cartridge grid structure in different earthquake levels and different performance goals is also done; Under different level earthquake elasto-plastic state, the research of the structure of the crack location and damage development situation of new structure system,can find out weak layer and weak parts of the structure.Research results show that new cassette structure have good mechanical properties and strong ability to resist earthquake. The sixth chapter of the article make the induction and the summary of this paper, and prospected its application of box structure in the future, and put forward the direction of studies in the future.
